What do we want our students to know about reviewing writing?
I know what I am learning and why - making the connection with examples in Reading, highlight examples of good sentence starters.

  • Finding good examples in own writing.

5. I write carefully and checking as I go. Important to read as writing - tips ??

  • Underline words but only need to fix 4 (some) or them NOT all.
  • Author - make time to edit, be an author and share writing.
  • Need to share something from your writing to someone, most days.
Responding to writing model
Feedback - first say something about the 'voice' the message,  before we respond to the criteria.
(sit on your hands and be a reader before you are a teacher)

Dylan Wiliam - feedback. 1/3rd Self, Peer and Teacher.
Need to get students noticing and reflecting on their own and peer writing.

When students have given feedback to a peers piece of work it makes them more aware of requirements in their own. Usually much tougher on a peer than the teacher.
