Commit to an answer to begin with, however we can change our mind and change our answer when our thinking changes or we find another way.

Basic facts are a tool that allow you to access further strategies. to see relationships and patterns, make connections,memorisation of patterns, relationships between multiplication and fractions, decimals and percentages

Assessing Basic Fact Fluency
Journaling- specific skill for children to explain their thinking when reflecting their learning.  Provide visual cues to support them. Knowledge and strategies they are using, what next steps are.

Reflection: Developing strategy knowledge with Problem Solving. Encouraging chn to voice what strategies they chose and why.  This means teaching the strategies as quickly as possible and encouraging students to problem solve with different strategies. This would promote Student Voice-explain what you did and how.
