My current student has difficulty with storage and retrieval. Therefore struggles with categorisation. Making it difficult to retrieve information in a discussion. This corresponds in Maths, categorising, sorting similar attributes, associations all skills to be developed.
Avoidance is a coping strategy as unable to retrieve
information.
Communication
Physical response - when experiencing difficulty, turns away.
Reaches up. Hands shaking - alternative forms of communication.
How I engage with that response is how
we teach the use of words.

be, or it could be with visual support. Pictures of them in different scenarios to provide support.
