PATs 20/5/2019
Differentiating - just dropping down to the next test is only if they are in a different curriculum level., at least 2 down Not just one year level kids. Similar vocab.
High flyers- only if at least a full curriculum level above.
Because each test covers a whole curriculum level.
Stanine levels - don't need to involve teachers with stanines - they need scaled scores. Difficulty with stanines is the only direct link with scaled scores is in term one.
Scaled score aligns with the curriculum and shows where the chn are in relation with curriculum level.
Clean data - year report - choose filter data and match only . then can compare year 4 2018 progress with year 5 2019. - Table National reference data in brackets 8.3 growth. Compare
Block plot divided into 4 equal pieces - scale score and spread. Looking for the tail to be reduced, shift, movement - we had 20 scaled scores compared to national ave of 8.3.
Shows differences in the data table as well as visual.
Then break down to look at equity - gender Girls from year 4 top range did not move
Upper quarter - Students making average progress are making half the amount of shift/progress we would expect over the year
The assumption that it is our interventions that are making the difference - who are the kids making the scaled progress. IS it our SMART and rpt readers, oral lang etc
List report - report by a group and open filters and use what you want. Can only use in one year.
Can click on a name to go to an individual report
